A template for design, a tight uniform of very fine lines manipulated to recreate these very errors and at the same time allowing the next layer to permeate the next at regulated intervals. 
The extraordinarily minute and tightness of line will create a confusing visual effect in the the case of each image alone when printed, so layering them will be an experiment in itself.
